I have either the Camarones a la tocineta (painted shrimp with bacon) or the Hamburger (Fish filet in...a bun. It comes with salad, fries, tomatoes and cucumber) I always get the little Pescado Caldo (fish soup) that is a pleasure. Mita usually starts with the large Pescado Caldo and follows it with a fillet empanizado (breaded fish filet). It also carries octopus, oysters, crab and squid. The price/value ratio is great! Delicious!
We were in Torreon for two weeks and we ate every chance we have in this restaurant. It is 1 block from Hotel Calvete and is located in front of Plaza Major. The prices were right and the food was excellent. This is a seafood place that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I especially enjoyed Camarones a la tocineta (Brote shrimp with bacon). I had to go a last time the day before the departure to have them back. My “woman” prefers the Caldo de pescado (fish soup), which was really fantastic. Compliments to the cook.
