I manage a business in Torrington and just had Tequanna’s cater lunch and it was a HUGE HIT! So delicious, incredibly reasonably priced, and an awesome change from the same old things we normally get catered (pizza or Panera anyone? *Yawn* . We ordered BBQ and fried chicken, Mac cheese and greens, plus that amazing banana pudding and it drew rave reviews from all. Keep up the awesome work Tequanna, can’t wait to sample the rest of the menu.
Food is absolutely disgusting. Seems like the lady is feeding you left over boiled chicken. Kids running around in kitchen. Very dirty inside. I was so disappointed thought there was finally a real soulfood place around like the ones I miss from Atlanta
This place is a true gem and represents everything good about flavorful comfort and soul food. I highly recommend the j chicken, rice/peas, and the banana pudding. I’ve eaten at many places with similar cuisine since it’s a favorite but this place rises above even some of the more well known places I’ve been to in big cities including NYC. It’s easy to mess up cornbread (dry, flavorless, etc) but they even nailed that. Try them and see for yourself ??
Walking into Tequanna's I felt at home. The playing cards on each table really make the whole experience so much better and that's not even touching the food. Me and my friend ordered Mac and cheese, chicken, collard greens, and sweet potato, everything was mouth wateringly perfect. On top of that, Tequanna's is in the center of the Torrington Historical District, a perfect location for a perfect restaurant. 10/10!
