Zach And Lou's Barbeque - Torrington

As the owner of a barbecue catering company south of Albany, NY, I couldn't resist taking a two-hour drive to try some barbecue on my day off. What an incredible experience! Often, you either come across large portions of meat or lengthy menus, but at Zach and Lou's, we found both! It's a fantastic family business that truly knows how to get it right. We'll definitely be making the trip again!

I was eager to try Zach and Lou, and it certainly did not disappoint. It felt like meat heaven! The brisket was the best I’ve ever had. The pork belly was deliciously rich, and the beans were hearty with a perfectly balanced BBQ flavor. I sampled all three sauces—spicy, sweet, and mustard—and they were all outstanding, though my favorite was the sweet one. I’ll definitely be coming back often. As someone who has moved from the South, I really miss good BBQ, so I'm truly grateful to have discovered such an authentic and high-quality experience at Zach and Lou. I even had the chance to meet Lou during my visit, and he was incredibly friendly and down to earth. It’s easy to see why this place has so many near-perfect reviews!

My husband and I went on a hike and were quite hungry afterward, so we decided to stop by Zach Lou's Barbecue on our way home. It was definitely worth the visit! The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I ordered the chopped sandwich with green beans and cornbread, while my husband chose the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese and cornbread. Both selections were fantastic, and we really enjoyed the variety of sauces that were available. We tried both the sweet sauce and the spicy sauce, and they were perfect complements to our sandwiches. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty and satisfying food!

Had about a 30-minute drive to come here and I'll say it was worth it! The smoked ceddar garlic sausage was incredible and cheesier as expected! The pulled chicken was also excellent and paired with the spicy bbq sauce. The Mac and the cheese were very good and the corn cake was homemade, which was a surprising note. To complete everything, the chocolate peanut butter cake was the perfect end! A must stop when you are in the area (and maybe if you don't)!

I 've been going to Zach and Lou 's since they opened. Always worth the trip, whether it be on the best of sunny days or the worst of hail storms. I 'm always greeted by great food and friendly folks. Nothing like an amazing pulled pork meal and friendly chat with the best people person around. Thanks and see you soon!
