Really enjoyed our second breakfast at the cafe here the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and it was just what we needed

Hello Bristol team, first of all it is a very welcoming restaurant with a welcoming team, smiling and attentive to the customer, thank you for all that. The kindness you show is excellent. As far as the menu is concerned it is very good. Don't change course because you are very happy this way. I warmly thank you for your exemplary service and professionalism. What is certain is that I will come back with great pleasure to eat. I passed on Friday noon 06/07/2024. Good luck for the day and the days to come any derogatory comments from certain customers are unacceptable and in bad faith because these people have no good manners and are very stupid. Thanks for everything to the team

A very nice location, right opposite the train station. On the other hand, the service is so long that many people leave without being able to see the waiter... it's a shame...

Avons été reçu de manière professionnelle et efficace, le personnel a été attentif au fait que nous n’avions que très peu de temps aussi le service a été rapide. Avons choisi le tartare de bœuf qui a été préparé à la minute avec une salade verte assaisonnée d’une délicieuse vinaigrette, du pain bien frais ainsi que de frites maison. Le vin nous a été bien conseillé selon les critères que nous avions mentionnés. Quant aux desserts, ils étaient également faits maison, le tiramisu était copieux et délicieux et la crème brûlée aussi. L’hôtel-restaurant Bristol est situé en face de la gare SNCF et de la gare routière ce qui est très pratique. Nous le conseillons car nous en avons été entièrement satisfaits et cela fait plaisir de trouver une halte agréable en cours de voyage.

I've had lunch at least twice before over the past couple of years and the food has been a little pricey but not unreasonably so given convenient proximity to the station and the food has been pretty good.I was very disappointed this time and it as taken a serious turn for the worse. Frites looked promising at first with skins on and I was hoping for home made chips cooked in duck or goose fat as is common (and delicious) in this area even in little bars and bistros. But these had a translucent look on close inspection and tasted terrible I ate about three and left the rest - not sure whether they had been frozen or reheated or what but they were quite the worst frites I can recall eating in France.Confit duck leg arrived dripping in grease and looked very unappetising. The joy for me in confit duck is the rich seasoned meat plus crisped duck skin from hot oven or grill - the pleasure of the crisp skin was denied me and I removed the skin, surprisingly the duck meat was ok.But this really is terrible passionless cooking and not representative of the area which is normally so much better.Half bottle of house red was good.I'd have a beer or a coffee here again but unless things change this is the last time I'll eat here, I'll need to search again for a good bistro near the station
