Los Tapatios - Town of Vestal

My husband and I took my parents here for a birthday lunch on a Sunday around 2 PM. We were seated promptly, and our drinks, along with the chips and salsa, arrived quickly. We also ordered queso. Unfortunately, the chips were quite greasy, the queso was watery, and the salsa was lacking in flavor. Our food came out in just five minutes after we ordered. I had the chimichangas, which I found surprisingly small compared to those at other authentic Mexican restaurants. On the bright side, the portion of rice was quite generous. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I don't think we'll be coming back.

My family dined here twice in just two days, which is a clear sign that we really enjoyed the food. The taquitos were tasty, and I loved the special pineapple-marinated pork fajitas. The margaritas were quite good as well. The service varied on both visits, but to be fair, the restaurant was quite busy. It's spacious and has a vibrant atmosphere, decorated with colorful Mexican artwork.

As a newcomer to the area, I was eager to find some authentic Mexican cuisine, so I decided to try Los Tapatios for lunch. We were welcomed and seated immediately. I ordered the Fish Tacos while my dining partner chose the Chipotle Burrito, and we shared an order of Chicken Fajita Nachos. Both of us found our main dishes to be quite delicious, but we couldn't stop talking about the nachos! They were a great twist and served in generous portions. We will definitely be back!

Good Mexican food but I need the tortas to come back expeditiously, ASAP. 1 dollar tacos was a stellar experience

The food is always hot and great for authentic Mexican. The service is very good and responsive. Not the most talkative and more to the point but that's ok. It's a little dated inside and could use a good facelift but the food flavors make it worth a stop. The prices are decent and won't break the bank.
