Since it was mid-morning, I opted for a chicken and leek pie (and a tasty cake to go). The staff was friendly, the coffee was excellent, and the pie and cake were delicious. The atmosphere was nice. It's conveniently located not far from Flinders St, making it a great spot for city workers. I would definitely recommend taking a stroll or a quick drive up from The Strand. It's a lovely, relaxing place to meet up for lunch or coffee.
Was surprised how good the food was. There aren't many cafes where you can here your bacon and eggs sizzling away but having it served up here was amazing knowing it was just cooked. We also got the field mushrooms which very nice and the coffee was on song too. If this place was on Gregory street there'd be a 3 hour wait !
Travelling up from Melbourne for a brief stay, l was looking for a Cafe style place to enjoys my breakfast. Cafe Deham was a great choice to eat. I had the scrambled eggs which was a good serving. The coffee was a great taste blend too.
Popped into the cafe today for the $9 breakfast roll and coffee deal. Gorgeous interior with plenty of delicious looking treats in the cabinet. The soy latte I ordered was good and the breakfast roll was amazing. I stack load of cripsy bacon and perfectly fried eggs on a good quality bun. I would recommend this cafe to anyone looking for good value coffee and food in a lovely old heritage building.
I go here a lot and everything is really good but the Chicken pies and the lamb shank pies stand out the most. They are delicious. Best pies I have ever eaten.
