Quarterdeck - Townsville

The day was exciting, and it would have been nice to watch the Melbourne Cup on TV, but unfortunately, that wasn't an option! There was plenty of food, but the cakes melted in the 33°C heat and became inedible. Additionally, there was no entertainment at The Quarkerdeck in Thi Ville, Townsville.

I had the worst experience of my life. There were not enough TVs to watch the race, and the service was terrible. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I generally recommend this restaurant, but I wouldn't advise going there for the Melbourne Cup. We had issues with the TV and ended up missing a third of the race, which was very disappointing since that's what we were there for.

I had a late lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Napoli sauce on the parma was lovely, and the prawns and bugs in the fettuccine were beautifully cooked. I also had garlic ciabatta as a side. The staff were extremely quick with food and drinks.

Wow! The service here is fantastic and the food is absolutely delicious. It's nothing like the restaurant next door!
