However the google maps location for this is completely incorrect and 9 minutes walk away from the actual location. This building is a shared business with Sugar Daddy Gelato so I would recommend searching for “Sugar Daddy Artisan Gelato” in google maps and that will bring you to the correct address.
This spot is incredibly delicious the family that owns it is equally as wonderful! They were so helpful with recommendations, not just with their shop, but with other food spots around the city! I spent two nights in Ho Chi Minh ate there both days during my stay. Stumbled across it while staying nearby- if you love a delicious bao, then this is a place you can not miss during your trip! You must try their pork belly bao, fried chicken bao carnitas tacos Oh, I can’t forget to mention their gelato! The flavors are insane with so many different options. I got their dragonfruit gelato along with their banana peanut butter- SO. GOOD. I will absolutely miss their bao buns once I’m back in LA.
READ THIS BEFORE ARRIVING: There are two different businesses in this premises. The Google page stated that it was open from 2am to 9:30pm. I arrived at 1:30pm and went inside, The staff inside said they don’t work for Got Bun, I asked where Got Bun is located and they told me it was in this building but so my opens at 2pm daily, the first business on the premises is called Sugar Daddy Gelato and it closes at 2pm and then Got Bun opens from 2pm to 9pm. I asked Sugar Daddy Gelato if I can buy a bottle of water but they declined as they didn’t have access to the fridge, only Got Bun staff had the key. This was very disappointing. I decided to wait 30 mins for Got Bun to open and I updated the page on Google with the correct times to help other travellers in the future. I’m glad I waited as the service from Got Bun was great and the food was tasty. The bao bun is huge, I thought they’d be small so I ordered two, I ended up taking one away with me. If it wasn’t for the confusing opening time, and the issues at the start then I’d give them 5 stars, however I feel like I have to take a star off just because of the issues I experienced.
A friendly lady let us taste all the ice cream flavors before we decided which ones we want to order. And the ice cream was very good.
I got a fish bun (it was 65 or 75k , portion is actually more than a snack, but not too big five a proper meal : A bit pricy, but worth it. I'd come to try more! They also have ice cream with pretty weird tastes: carrot one and smth else, I forgot Keep doing your job! Create more interesting food :
