The company Morello has been operating since 1875 as the property Fondiaria di Ha 64 is the oldest farm in the area. The current Azienda Agraria Morello srl constituted in 1974 as an autonomous company of Ha 16, derives from the fraction of the original company Morello, the fraction of the fief divided between the sons of the engineer Gabriele Settimo Morello is Vera Ahrens took place with the maintenance of the traditional olive crops, almond and hawt, regarding the morphology of the territory and the characteristics of the places. The next crops covered citrus fruits: mandarin oranges and above all lemon, as well as orchards characterized by different varieties, with prevalence of the nespolo. The cultivation of olives concerns the quarry variety, which extends from the coastal area to the internal hills. There are, in less quantity, halilla and cerasuola plantations. The oil produced in the company is considered of excellent quality and other fruit and vegetable productions, which for a long time have replaced the wheat and sucrose cultivated until the 1950s. The discovery of drinking water on the hill of Suvarita, in the territory also owned by Morello, allowed the passage from a wide agriculture to intensive agriculture, not only to the farm of the owners but also to hundreds of local farmers. Much of the water (renewed after several trivellations at 180 meters of depth entered the AMAP network for the consumption of palermitan citizens. In 2003 the current owner of the company Professor Gabriele Morello, benefiting from the contributions of the P.O.R 2000-2006 measure 4.15 , of the Department of Agriculture and Forestry of the Sicilian Region, activated a rural tourism enterprise centered on the main building and on four houses, originally the residence of the peasants. Place of agricultural production has therefore become a tourist hotel, classified by the Province of Palermo with three stars, able to comfortably accommodate 20 people and at the level of catering beyond 150 covers. For the innovative character of the agricultural and tourist activity carried out in the territory, which has constituted a significant opportunity of work and development in the ecological respect of the places, the company Morello has received numerous awards to the productive merit. From this year starting from June 28, 2020, the Azienda Agraria Morelo manages first person the activity related to the overnight stay in the 4 main houses, consisting of 3 bedrooms with 4 double beds and two single beds and a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a room inside a structure of 1600' faithfully restored, with 6 beds and a bathroom with shower and toilet for disabled. The management of the restaurant from 28 June 2020 was entrusted to the Lord Ciro Guardino.
