City Deli - Trenton

Every dish I've tried at City Deli has been delightful, whether for breakfast or lunch. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, and it's clear they put a lot of effort into creating delicious, homemade meals.

The food here is fantastic, with a homemade touch. Both the American and Latin dishes on the menu are excellent. This is definitely one of the best lunch spots in downtown Trenton, if not the very best.

I decided to stop by for lunch today and was drawn to the taco meal on the menu, although it lacked listed prices. Unfortunately, the first staff member who took my order was rather rude and abrupt. When she mentioned that my order would take a minute and I asked for a time estimate, she simply walked away. Noticing the number of people waiting for their food, I opted to take a quick walk around the block before returning. When I got back, my order still wasn't ready, leading to an additional 10-minute wait. Once I finally received my food, the waitress handed me a napkin and a fork. When I requested a second napkin, she told me no, claiming that the napkin I had was adequate for the two tacos I'd ordered. Then she just walked away! This experience was incredibly disappointing in terms of customer service, and I won’t be returning.

Stopped in early today for a breakfast wrap. Wrap was nicely pressed, filled with pork roll, egg, cheese, and potatoes. Delicious and cheap. 5 bucks and change I think, but as they are a small family business they require $7+ to use a card. Some might think this is predatory on the customer but as someone that comes from a family business, I know it is in fact the credit card companies being predatory on the businesses customers with their outrageous fees. I happily ordered a fruit bowl as well, which was stacked to the brim with big chunks of freshly cut fruits. Everything was delicious and the lady at the counter was very friendly and quick with preparing my order. Will definitely return.

The food here is fantastic! They even deliver small orders, which is a big plus. It's an excellent choice for breakfast or lunch. We all order from this place regularly!
