Guthrie's - Trenton

I maybe biased but Guthries has the absolute best chicken. Its fresh never frozen. It's bathed in milk bath and hand breaded. They take the time to make sure the chicken goes into the fryer just right so it doesn't feather the flour. Don't even get me started on the sauce. I sure have missed good chicken in Ringgold.

Stopped in for lunch on my break. Ordered a simple pita plate with fries and a drink. Didn't ask for anything special. Sat there and waited almost 10 minutes while everyone that came after me was served their food. When mine was finally ready, it was wrong. Didn't have the topping it was supposed to come with. Returned it to the counter only to wait another 10 minutes for the replacement. Fries were cold and I had to go back to work. Cashier didn't care one bit that my food was wrong and they wasted my lunch break.

It was pretty good tenders crispy and seasoned good I'll eat it again ?

The coating on the chicken was nice and crispy but unfortunately so was the chicken inside it; dry and stringy with floppy, barely warm fries. The lady at the window was very nice but, I will never see her again. It was my first and last visit.

The place was clean and the server taking our order was nice. The chicken sandwich was good but the fries were horrible, probably the worst restaurant fries I've ever had. They apparently had been cooked hours before as they were cool, greasy and wilty.
