Walked here from work on a Tuesday night, place is a little... hokey? Jersey Redneck? Anyway, bartender seems more concerned with the locals over anyone new or who might have money... Ceiling fan running but I think the place might not have central AC. While sipping on my Red Bull vodka, fruit flies trying to land in it, their ami jukebox just randomly starts BLASTING in my ears (gonna guess it was another patron in here) but thankfully I have my own earplugs. JUST saw the bartender open a brand new Avión bottle AND GETTING THE PLASTIC OFF WITH HER TEETH. I'm pretty sure that's some sort of health and safety violation... AND SHE TOOK A BITE OF A PATRON'S FOOD! Unless you like someone else's germs on your booze or your beer warm... or are in the area because you live nearby... It's not worth the time or distance! Maybe for the price but otherwise nope!
This visit was actually by mistake and totally my own fault. I had eaten here in the distant past a few times, and while living nearby in my misspent youth I had occasion to visit the liquor store. But I was wrongly under the impression that they had been taken over by an Italian spot that's really just a stone's throw away. I even had to ask the waitress who realized my mistake and said she wouldn't be insulted if we left. But, interestingly enough, I also knew Renee from that same youth, so I decided to stay. My uncle had wanted Italian food, and there was some on the menu. He selected fettuccini Alfredo with sausage added. I saw pirogi as an app and knew I'd have to order, I also had a cheesesteak. He really enjoyed the pasta and commented on how good the sausage was. He was happy to take home half of it and the side salad that came with it. I was pleasantly surprised by the pirogi, they were the smallest I've ever had but were very tasty. A mild cheese filling with good dough( NOT pasta dough) with some seared to a golden brown. It came with lightly sautéed red onion in a butter sauce, not bad either. My steak sandwich was on the small side but at $9 and coming with good fries, I was fine with that. It was good too, I'd get either again. This is kind of a hybrid I guess, part neighborhood bar(at lunch time we were the only guests in dining room, maybe 6-8 at the bar), part liquor store and part casual dining spot. This Inn also has quite a bit of history. Renee was a great hostess/waitress and it was good to see someone from my past, which I sometimes think was largely hallucinated. I plan on revisiting.....
Food was great service couldn't be any better. Crowd of nice people . Great stop don't pass it by
Walked in and was told by the waitress, no, sorry, I'm to busy. Multiple empty tables, but seems 1 waitress on Father's Day was enough for the owners. I guess they don't need the business. Second time I went and couldn't get served.
