Al Capannone - TREVIGNANO ROMANO

A very good experience with friends and family. Everybody could choose tasty specialties, fried food and good wines. Personally I have tasted ravioli stuffed with burrata in little squids sauce, very appreciated. Good Vermentino wine.

We had lunch here on a Saturday. We discovered that our first choice was closed for vacation. After walking around the centro, we found this restaurant by the lake and took a chance. It turned out to be a good decision since our lunch was excellent. There's some covered terrace seating outside where most people were sitting. But to avoid possible smokers, we chose to sit inside at a table next to large, partially opened window overlooking the lake. Pleasant music played in the background as we watched large white swans glide by. Bread was immediately brought to the table including some free pizza bread slices. We ordered spaghetti vongole and spaghetti in pomodoro sauce wrapped in eggplant slices. Both were delicious. We did have to ask for parmesan cheese and olive oil, but it was quickly brought to the table. The red house wine was very tasty too. This is a pleasant restaurant with a nice atmosphere and wonderful views of the lake even from inside. The food was really, really good and prices are very reasonable.

We were pushing the upper limit of the afternoon meal time when we arrived on a cold, Lake Bracciano windy day. We were glad to at least get inside and then pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and fantastic lake view. The water was covered by thousands of ducks and several pairs of swans. We started with a very nice antipasti platter, some fried bread and a bottle of Gewurtztraminer. Two of us had gnocchi, one had risotto with seafood, one had baked eggplant pasta and the kids had pasta with marinara. The portions were very substantial and enjoyed by all. For dessert we had tiramisu which also was delicious. All in all, a very nice experience.
