The cuisine is old-school home cooking, tasty but the presentation made my smile. Like my mom's, not what you typically think about the French cuisine. Quite pricy but it seems you just can't eat reasonably in France anymore. I don't like the duck theme, looked like an older lady's living room. Shame, they have the potential in the food!Would not come back.
I've been twice recently with European business guests on Monday evenings when other restaurants in the area are often closed. Each time the service has been prompt and the food absolutely delicious, with adventurous but successful marrying of different spices and flavours (eg. calves liver with citrus flavours). They also have decent craft beer for those looking for a change from wine. The dining room is a little small, so it is essential to call and book a table as it fills up quickly. The food is well worth a trip to Triel from surrounding towns. The menu is only in French, be ready to translate with foreign visitors.
