Giornale Caffe - TRIESTE

This cafe provided the perfect start to a lazy Sunday morning, with (possibly the best coffee we experienced in Trieste. We had initially spotted the cafes on Piazza Carlo Goldoni, walking past on our way to the Scala Dei Giganti, (and on up to the castle and cathedral . There are plenty of cafes to choose from but when we returned on this particular Sunday morning, one was patently more popular than the others and that was Giornale Caffe. So we sat and ordered a couple of espressos, fresh orange juice and two pastries. Everything was as expected but that coffee my god was it good. So good in fact that we ordered a second round. The coffee is priced at €1, (a bargain! , but you are only charged a single, per person “table service” charge of fifty cents. Great coffee, juice and pastries, all at a bargain price what more could you ask for?

I gladly take a break in this place where kindness and home and coffee is proposed in many different fillings. United to a dessert is the perfect solution for a satisfying and perfect breakfast. Bravo
