This was a bit frustrating. I had a fish risotto from this tourist menu and then avery acceptable sole , with delicious local potatoes.Over the next hour or so , entirely local clientele filled up to about two thirds full, and it seemed that although some dishes were from the laminated dishes , others were not. My companion had minestrone and the a veal steak , both enjoyable.
One of the few unspoiled, genuine, classic , popular fish restaurant still existing in Trieste. The owner is a special person, food is fresh excellent and real . A place with a soul. Prices are as good as the dishes you can have there. Just keep in mind that the kitchen closes around 9.30pm.
I had a very nice dinner with a couple of friends. We had dinner outside in the pedestrian area in the old city centre. I had canestrei (a sort of small scallops) as a starter. As a main I had sardoni impanai (a sort of sardines in breadcrumbs) with a green salad. We had the white wine of the house and some sparkling water. The waiter also brought us a selection of bread. We paid about Euro 25 per person. The service was good and friendly. It is a place to recommend, when many typical old local restaurants have lost their character, the Trattoria Citta ' di Pisino has remained faithful to the local tradition.
A real Italian tasty bite, fresh fish, friendly service. the interiors are beautiful.
Nella zona già pedonale, ottime pizze e leggere a pasta morbida. Davvero delizioso. personale molto gentile e prezzi onesti. Bene.
