Trattoria Max - TRIESTE

Trattoria fantastica. Molto parcheggio nelle vicinanze. Personale gentile. Cibo ottimo. Le patate alla tecia meritano una menzione speciale. Unico difetto: i prezzi non sono indicati nel menu, ma vengono comunicati solo al momento del conto. Comunque i prezzi sono più che ragionevoli. Consigliato!

Ho mangiato all'aperto, con pochi piatti tradizionali, un servizio cortese e prezzi normali. Consiglio la prenotazione. La gestione è familiare e questa è la bellezza del locale.

Una osteria molto valida a Trieste. Vasta selezione di vini e cibi deliziosi anche dal ristorante. Ambiente accogliente e personale cordiale.

We happened to pass this at lunch and managed to get a table even though it was very busy. The food was really nice but we were naive in our English understanding so should have ordered sides to accompany as my dish was just meat. They were unfortunately sold out of the gnocchi I’d originally ordered. The home made deserts are lovely.

I called in here to have a drink, and liked the atmosphere so much I went back for lunch the next day — a perfect lunch, as it turned out: two fat cannelloni, a delicious parmigiana di melanzane, peach pie and coffee. The place was full and I was the only foreigner. Everyone is looking for the perfect local spot: this is it. To get there, take the 2 or 4 bus to Opicina (about 20 minutes: the 42 is much slower). The bus stops right outside Max, immediately after the old tram terminus on the left.
