Habaneros's Mexican Grill - Trinidad

What a delightful spot to visit! It's small yet cozy, with friendly staff and delicious food. Our order was ready in under 5 minutes. I tried the steak bowl, which definitely rivals Chipotle and other burrito places. My husband ordered the fish tacos, and they were absolutely fantastic—the dough was simply irresistible! The menu offers a wide variety of options, and they even have a self-serve salsa station. The red salsa has a strong kick, the green is just right, and the tomato salsa is super mild. I also enjoyed the chiles en vinagre. I’m glad I discovered this gem!

This cozy spot should definitely be at the top of your must-visit list! We ordered the Fajita Nachos, and they were absolutely incredible! Seriously! They were the best nachos I've ever had, featuring a delicious mix of chicken and steak fajita meat, refried beans, bell peppers, onions, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese all piled on chips, along with a full salsa bar. Yes, the restaurant is small, but judging by how fantastic the nachos were, I can only imagine that everything else on the menu is just as delicious. You've got to try it!

This place was a delightful surprise. Despite being small and bustling with people, the air was filled with the enticing aromas of fresh ingredients and mascara. They make their taco shells from scratch, use fresh local vegetables, and their staff is incredibly friendly. The menu is generous, offering a good variety of options, including breakfast. It's Tex-Mex with a touch of Mexico City flair. I’ll definitely return if I’m ever in Trinidad again. Muy bueno!

Is a tiny place, but food and service is great. I've recently discovered that I have several allergies, but finding something to eat at Habaneros is not a problem. You can customize, so if I can't have the cheese I just order it to the side or off the taco. You can call ahead and pickup and I believe delivery is available in some areas. Also, a big plus for me is the fact that they offer breakfast tacos!
