Feedback gevenHands down best restaurant in Tromso! Mussels are super, very creative. I have tried many times in Belgium with a traditional way steam with herbs. Here it is increased by cooking with coconut milk. Very delicious. The reindeer castle is also delicious. Fries are one of the best I have ever tried, crispy outside soft inside and taste so fresh. The restaurant is beautifully designed and decorated. It looks elegant. The service is also excellent. Our waitress is attentive, friendly, but not very pressing. Overall, I love it so much. You can easily see that the owner puts a lot of attention on it. Would definitely recommend and come back.
What a beautiful experience and food. My partner brought me to my birthday as a surprise while in Tromsø and it was an absolute pleasure. The feeling of the restaurant, the staff and the food were super excellent. Our waiter was super helpful and friendly and even suggested what to go. Wine was delicious. Nice place for money.
What a great dining experience at Maskinverkstedet! First time trying reindeer steak and it was fantastic and a wow experience. Great presentation of dishes, superb taste for the reindeer and lutefisk dishes, decent portion size. Service was fantastic as well, the server replaced water promptly when the bottle has been expended. Overall a great dining experience and would recommend if you are visiting Tromso! However, it can be pricey when dining here; but then this is Norway and it is to be expected.
Very nice restaurant. Great atmosphere and nice staff. We have a delicious wine. I think is a beautiful, somewhat chic Norwegian cuisine, very similar to other Scandinavian restaurants. From the appetizers we tried the crab that was super tasty and beautiful, but the size of the dish and the amount of the crab was ridiculously small. The beef tar was also delicious and it was a great combination with the goat cheese that was super beautiful. From the main dishes, we tried the halibut, which was amazing, and the sauce was also great. The reindeer Steak was also beautiful. I really recommend these two dishes. The dessert was very expensive for what it was and not too special (dulce de leche with a few barley cakes that was super tiny). Overall, the food experience was great, and some of the dishes were a good value for money and some were not. The presentation of the dishes was amazing. The reservation process was strange for us, because the tourists are the city, we were in contact via email and they were mostly just Norwegian when we wrote them in English.
This impressive building with a 15 meter high seal turns into a hip and modern restaurant. Looks very elegant and modern, the food is very good and the service. Even if this beautiful restaurant is in the middle of this upcoming area, prices are quite normal!
