The food is delicious and genuine, the chef makes it as spicy as you want to, and the size of the portions are acceptable. The café is functional and cosy enough, even though it is not an restaurant. I won’t hesitate to go back to Bangkok café next time I am in Trondheim.
If you want to eat a real homemade thai food out and don't want to empty your wallet this is the place. The food is authentic thai, you get a good portion for what you're paying for. And more, unlike other thai restaurant in town. The atmosphere is very cozy and casual. The place is running by two women, Daeng and Nang. They've been in business for over 15 years, one of the first thai restaurant in town.
Our experience with Bangkok Cafe has always been very satisfactory. The food tastes great, the quantities are more than enough and the staff is so nice. We are regular guests, visiting the restaurant at least 3 times per month. What I personally like the most is the quantity of vegetables in each dish. My favorite plates are number 17 and 31 (the vegetarian/toffu version of number 17). It is also good to mention that the prices are affordable.
Very good food, the food comes fast and you cannot complain about the price. I have eaten here multiple times, and will go again.
This place is simple, with no frills. You order your food at the counter, and it's delivered to your table. The menu has enough English on it for you to figure things out, although not everything is translated from Norwegian (or Thai). Our orders arrived quickly, and were really delicious. If you like Thai food, this is likely the best place in Trondheim to enjoy it!
