My friend invited me here on Thursday at 4:00 and it was pretty busy. He enjoyed the colorful signature Troutini and I enjoyed a velvety smooth 2013 Tempranillo by Paul O’Brien. We didn't have dinner here, but ordered a snack plate that wasn't nice. I did not love to be honest, I am more of a goat, sheep cheese, olive berries, sawed crackers, spreads Pate Arta lady and this was more class school lunch box rolled meat, grapes and blue cheese, which is still left in the kitchen top, but the peanut brittle portion disappeared quickly.
I was a little hesitant at first, I don't eat trout, but love Martinis, so soldered on, figured that I could drink my way through the trout. I wasn't at all that surprised to find more than a rainbow or browny on the menu. If you need to know, this restaurant is frenchish in style, every plate i saw looked fabulous. I had the chicken pot pie my wife countered with the duck En Crout, booth are to die for, and you might if you are not supposed to eat this kind of food, but then you are missing out. Our server Maria was on her maiden run as an evening server, she did a great job. Drinks were hand crafted. See you again next time I am in town
Our extended family lives in this area and shaved around this place... We checked it with them party of 7... it's a small place, but they pack many tables in... All martini’s are handmade so it can take some time, but it is worth waiting.... You need to be careful, though, as it can sneak on you....the food options are likewise plentiful recommend you try whatever your name calls because you will not be disappointed. If it was only not the distance that it is from me at home, I would be more common, but there is a great excuse to visit family and stop before or after this visit or simply let me meet there as we all love this place.
Great food and great service. The staff were polite and helpful. The white cheddar cheese dijon soup was delicious and the homemade pretzels bits to dip in the soup were wonderful. The house salad was delicious with bacon, nuts, pears and vinaigrette dressing. The cornbeef sandwich was delicious. What a romantic atmosphere and they have live jazz Tuesday night.
The food here was amazing. The ambiance was very cozy. The staff was very friendly and gave good options on the food they enjoyed most. Nicole was our waitress and was great at checking in with us. The cocktail menu was very good. I have a French fiesta which had some fancy liquer, tequila, hibiscus syrup and a hibiscus flower. Strong, but delicious. My wife had an Irish coffee and said it was just as good as she had in Ireland. For an appetizer we had the Beer Fondue which was bread/homemade pretzels and beer cheese. Super delicious. I had the chicken pot pie for my entree. It. Was. Amazing. The gravy was on point. My wife had the Bolognese and it was also great. The noodles were expertly cooked. For desert we had an apple crisp which had just the right about of cinnimon and the apples cooked just enough so they had the slightest crunch, melded with a delicious oat covering and a nice scoop of vanilla on top. We will be back.
