I went into the store to pick up a salad at the salad bar and there was a lady in front of me holding a dog while she is filling up her salad carton. How utterly disgusting, I do not want a dog near my salad bar and fresh food. I reported this to the manager and he said that the store allows service dogs. So, I guess you can just say your dog is a service dog and then bring them over to the fresh food and contaminate the area. I am also going to complain directly to Raley's. The fresh food area should be off limits to pets. Even worse the lady was holding the dog directly above the fresh food. I am not a person that usually complains.
Wow, this place is really sprucing up the neighborhood! Swankiest Raley 's I 've seen. Love the produce, love that the shelves seemed to be stocked a bit better than a certain other market in town. Only down side might be narrow, mom and pop store isles could get gnarly on a very busy day.
Let's put it this way if you ignore the mountains and the cool air and the vegetation you can really feel like you're right smack back in the Bay Area. Look at the workers on break some of them have that hammered befuddled look like they're just done by the never-ending Urban vibe. its weird. I mean they have a really nice selection and there's some really nice people working there but seriously it's a total microcosm of Metropolitan Vibes just gouging this once laid back piece
Not sure why Raley's is trying to be Whole Foods. A lot of the stuff I was looking for for 4th of July they didn't have. Also the aisles are too compact. Felt like I was constantly trying to get out of someone's way or getting in someone's way. Yes it was right before the holiday but still. Why are the aisles so small? Also, cell service and internet here is awful.
