Tavern 6330 - Truckee

I decided to try a cocktail or two at this restaurant, and I'm glad I did! My family and I went there for dinner, even though I was still full from a buffet lunch. I couldn't resist ordering a house salad, though. In addition to the salad, I explored the cocktail menu and sampled two drinks: the Turnaround and the Mamasita. The Turnaround was exactly what I was looking for—strong and flavorful—while the Mamasita was delicious, featuring jalapeño-infused vodka that made each sip delightful. Our server, Denise, was incredibly friendly and attentive, which added to our enjoyable experience. My family had a fantastic time trying new dishes from the menu, like octopus, and the kids absolutely loved their parmesan and parsley fries.

Fantastic location, perfect for enjoying après-ski drinks whether outdoors or indoors. The ambiance is lovely for both food and beverages. They even offer live music on select nights. The fish and meat dishes, as well as the appetizers, are substantial and well-prepared. However, the vegetable options leave much to be desired.

For lunch, I tried the bison soup, which was labeled as beef soup on the menu, and it was absolutely fantastic! I definitely want to have it again soon. I also ordered a custom Tavern Mountaineer made with Wagyu beef. It was juicy, perfectly cooked, and served with crispy French fries. My wife had the sea bass and, being a seafood lover, she thought it was delicious. I noticed many customers were wearing ski equipment and taking a break, so there's no pressure to dress up like my wife and I did. We enjoy looking good, but casual attire is perfectly acceptable here!

Delicious lunch before we meet the slopes. General shares at reasonable prices. Turkey Pesto melt exceeded my expectations, came so hot and juicy! Falafel packaging was also great if you are looking for a vegetarian option. Only complaint was the tomato bisque, came too salty.

I wanted a lovely place to relax while my friend skied. I walked in to 6330' and was kindly greeted by the hostess. She checked if they could find the Manchester United vs Crystal Palace soccer/football game. I was seated at the bar and promptly greeted by the bartender Ashley. She was able to find the game. Although some may not appreciate it, we both enjoyed lightly singing to the wonderful songs playing. She made great recommendations on food and beverage. Ashley was a tremendous host with great talent and excellent knowledge of the food, wine and cocktails. My experience was top notch. Thank You! Adam :
