This wouldn’t have been an issue if the food was knock your socks off tasty. But it wasn’t, it was just... OK. Moving away from the food the staff were very friendly and the setting is amazing.
Just loved it and will be going again soon and encourage my friends to go too
If you are at the Loren, go to the excellent Pink Beach Club for dinner instead. Better food, better view, and overall better value.
They have a 3 course for $98 and a 4 course for $125. The 4 course includes 5 mini bite sized h’dvs and one drink. The bites were the best thing. I can’t remem what my husband had to begin but I had the corn agnolotti and I thought it was terrible. The pea purée was a very dominant flavor which I did not care for and the pasta dough was barely filled and pretty tasteless. The miso glazed rockfish was pretty tasteless, too and we both ordered that. In America, when something is miso glazed it means a glaze of miso paste, soy, brown sugar (typically) is made and brushed on to create a sweet sticky sauce, delicious. This fish had a tiny bit of plain miso (which is very salty) on it but so little as to not be recognizable. Although more plain miso would be terrible as well! The fish was dry and tasteless and had nothing but a tiny piece of bok choy on the side. Also, there was a tiny bit of sauce on the plate which had a strong fennel flavor and not what I expected. Desserts were very average. I’m not kidding, we went back to our hotel (Tuckers Point) and went to the bar and ordered an appetizer because we were so unsatisfied! Chef, you have a beautiful space, plz get it together!
Great service, good food, too expensive. if the meal was less pricey I would give an amazing review.... too expensive for the average person.
