Panera Bread - Tucson

I stopped by to pick up dinner for my friend and myself, and I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful gentleman named Bill at the counter. When I mentioned that I had never visited a Panera before, aside from enjoying their catering, he greeted me warmly and took the time to explain the quality of their food. He shared that everything is made without preservatives and that if you buy a loaf of bread, you should eat it quickly because it won’t last long. Bill also mentioned that at the end of each day, they box up any unsold items, which are picked up by seven different food pantries throughout the week. His enthusiasm for working with the company was truly infectious. I really hope someone at Panera recognizes what a valuable asset they have in this kind gentleman!

Excellent service and tasty food! I enjoyed a cup of creamy chicken and wild rice soup, a half salad, and the chipotle chicken with avocado panini.

My friend brought home dinner tonight and couldn't wait to share his experience with me about the gentleman at the counter. He was fantastic! I think Bill deserves a raise—it's not often you come across such wonderful service.
