They offer vegan tostadas and salads, as well as avocado toast on the menu. You will definitely appreciate this hidden gem in Tucson.
Nice that they have one vegan option (burger) that doesn 't require a lengthy discussion with the server. My husband ordered the tacos with an off-menu substitution of grilled squash and vegan cheese. I ordered the avocado toast, which, after a lengthy discussion about what menu items could be veganized, was served on bread that was suspiciously buttery. The server checked with the kitchen and found out they toasted the bread on the grill in clarified butter. Fyi for Vegans who may not want this oil on their toast. Kitchen staff should understand that clarified butter is not vegan even though it looks like just oil. There are a couple of salads that could probably be vegan and some sides.
The restaurant no longer offers some items mentioned in previous reviews, such as the burger and bowl. They only have a limited selection of vegan options, but the waitress was able to advise on veganizing dishes. However, my main issue was the lack of flavor and seasoning in the food. The salsa tasted only of tomatoes and the vegan aioli had no taste at all. In my opinion, it is not worth visiting this restaurant.
Currently, the restaurant is offering a vegan lunch bowl and the beyond burger. The vegan burger is loaded with delicious toppings and is very filling. It has a sweet and crunchy flavor that I highly recommend, even though it is a bit pricey. The lunch bowl is absolutely delicious, with vegan sausage, spinach, sweet corn, mushrooms, roasted tomato, onion smashed spuds, poblano, and vegan herb aioli. It is the best bowl I have ever had, and I usually don't choose bowls at restaurants, but this one is exceptional. My only suggestion is to add more vegan breakfast options for brunch, as brunch is popular here. I also tried the sangria, which was delicious and strong, rather than overly sweet. It was made fresh, which I appreciated. Overall, I suggest adding more seasoning to the beyond burger and adding grains like rice or quinoa to the lunch bowl, perhaps with a touch of lime and salt. Besides these minor suggestions, my experience was great.
Last minute brunch idea turned gone delightful unexpected treat. Although they only had 2 vegan breakfast options- the veggie hash with vegan sausage was scrumptious. I ate the whole thing. We sat on the dog friendly majestic patio and enjoyed bottomless mimosas. Super dog friendly with beautiful surroundings in a brick Spanish style hacienda. Must visit.
