Had the green chili burger and the green chili apple cobbler. Yummy!

I am traveling Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica and this has been my best stop so far! They are beyond friendly, helpful, and the food was absolutely amazing. Do not go through Tucumcari without stopping here.

Watson's BBQ is a great little store. They have some hardware, gifts, and BBQ. We we there around breakfast so we did not try the BBQ. They did have donuts.

This is a unique place to eat, part hardware store, western clothing store, and barbecue restaurant. We learned about it from trip advisor reviews and found it by entering the address in my phone. From the looks of the outside, I likely would have never stopped here. Inside is a small seating area; you place your order at the counter and your order is brought to you. The lady behind the counter was very nice, and helped us with her suggestions. I ordered a special called “the Beast”, and it was wonderful! You need to go there to learn what it is, ‘cause I ain’t telling. I will say that I saved half for a full second meal! I understand now why this place is so highly recommended. Even if you have eaten too much, be sure to try the cobbler for desert!,

Wonderful! Food was excellent! Between our group we pretty well tried it all—pulled pork, brisket, burger, slaw, beans, potato salad, mac cheese, frito pie, cookies—nothing disappointed!! We even got to have birthday cake with the owner! Such a wonderfully sweet women and most excellent service! Highly recommend.
