Tatami - Tübingen

I love sushi and I eat it a lot. This place has a lovely atmosphere but not enough staff. They are friendly but just too busy..plus, the sushi is fresh but not much for the price. And nothing 'special' or 'interesting' on the menu. Edamame is a tiny cold portion and very over priced. I would go back but maybe not regularly like i do. with other sushi places.

Nice ambience in a small restaurant, and seemed to be popular with the locals. I noticed people were coming in and collecting take out orders. We had edamame and seaweed to start with and both were delicious, although I thought the edamame portion was slightly small (dam me and my greedy western appetite!) The sushi rolls were also very good and when the waitress came and asked if we wanted anything else, we ordered another plate of edamame each! AND they sell great beer!

Freshly prepared sushi in a cozy place, friendly and quick service. Feels almost like Japan (except for the background music). Fair value for money, recommendable.

The restaurant is great. Love the food and love their approach to food. Everything is organic. They do not serve overfished fish and are very environmentally couscious. Really good Japanese food. Love the atmosphere. Try the green tea ice cream. Oftentimes better to make reservations for dinner.

I visited the restaurant in the evening and found it quite disappointing that the restaurant offers sushi only. I was hoping for some warm food but none is on the menu. The sushi menu book was quite worn-out and it gives a dirty feeling when...you touches it. The service was extremely slow. We had to wait for minutes before getting our drinks (and even longer later for the sushi). No one could find the light switch in the foyer of the restrooms so you search in the dark to find the restroom for the correct gender. interestingly, the restroom for handicapped is a storage room where you find the toilet together with the lockers and dirty shoes of the workers. Not sure if that violates any health regulations but it surely made one feels pretty unhygienic. The sushi tasted so-so and the seaweed wrap (Nori) in some of the sushi we ordered did not wrap the sushis completely. We were very surprised to find that. All in all, I couldn't help but find the price unjustified
