Captain Hook's Seafood - Tugun

They have asked 20 minutes (for only 4 people before us) to tell the grill closed 1 minute ago. other food was cold. several orders before us were wrong. will not return service: take your meal type: dinner

Today, after a day at the beach, we ordered a large serving of chips. Unfortunately, they were inedible, and none of us ended up eating anything. The chips were severely overcooked and had an unpleasant texture. We also requested chicken salt, but it was not provided. In the past, Captain Hook's chips were my go-to, and I absolutely loved them! While I understand that young staff members may be learning on the job, they really should strive to improve. The young boys who served us made no eye contact and, to be honest, came across as rather rude. This does not reflect well on their business, and they could benefit from some mentoring and training. I wish Captain Hook all the best and sincerely hope they can revive the quality of their famous chips.

My partner and I indulged in some hot chips, and they were fantastic! They were perfectly crispy and seasoned with just the right amount of chicken salt. As for the service, we dined in and found it satisfactory. We also felt that the price per person was very reasonable, between $1 and $20. Overall, I would rate the experience a solid 5 out of 5!
