Even a little salt and pepper would have been an improvement. The smoked sausage was OK , but all that needs is to be heated up. I thought the food tasted like it has been sitting out on the buffet all day and we were there at 12:30 for lunch. The only saving grace was the nice server, and she comped one meal when we voiced our disappointment.
I stopped here for lunch recently and I was really in the mood for BBQ. When my server came I said I wasn't interested in the buffet, but I wanted to know about the BBQ. She said, "Well, all the BBQ is on the buffet, so that's probably the best way to try it." I declined and asked to see a menu. There were several pages, but I decided to go with a burger, which turned out to be fine. Later, I realized that on the very back page of the menu was the BBQ menu (which the server never mentioned to me), where I could have ordered what I really wanted. She was new and still learning the ropes, so I won't be too hard on her, but the frustration of the experience took away most of my enjoyment.
Easily My Favorite Breakfast In Town. Great place I’ll always keep coming back to. For the longest time this is one of my favorite places to eat lunch at, mainly because of the BBQ packed lunch buffet. With their $4.99 single plate buffet, you can’t go wrong. It’s a great way to get all of the little bits you get and keeps you from getting overstuffed... in theory anyways. Hot, fresh rolls are brought out to enjoy with lunch which I savor every last bite. However that BBQ goodness isn’t what finally prompted me to review this place. I recently got the opportunity to try their breakfast buffet. After being immediately seated and asked if we wanted menus or go straight for the buffet, all but one opted for the buffet. The one actually order the “Oklahoma Breakfast” I believe. All I know it was a huge plate full of home fries, eggs, bacon, and a couple other things. It was like a mini-buffet itself and only for $3.99. Before we were allowed to venture to the food, the waitress politely asked if we wanted any fried eggs. Even though I didn’t want any, I thought it was pretty neat that did that. Mainly because every breakfast buffet I’ve been too didn’t have that option. The food looked wonderful. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak and even mini cinnamon rolls. There’s more on there too. First let me say the biscuits and gravy were really good. The biscuits were fluffy and lacked that chemical taste some get from baking powder. The cream gravy that went over it was the right amount of creaminess and thickness to cover the biscuits and chicken fried steak in a warm, yummy blanket. That alone will bring me back every chance I get. With a wonderful staff and an owner that really seem to take pride in the business and have fun with it, it is really reflected in the atmosphere and food. Combine that with great deals like the $4.99 Breakfast buffet, it is hard not to go back.
