Feedback gevenI didn't appreciate how she spoke to me as if I were a child, which made my experience unpleasant. After checking with others who go there, it appears I'm not the only one who found her behavior off-putting; they told me they had never experienced anyone writing prices on their punch cards before. Fast forward to 2024, I stopped visiting S&J's for over a year due to my negative experiences. The other staff members are great, but this manager really needs to reevaluate her attitude. I understand I'm just one customer, but considering how often I would come in, it adds up. I eventually started going to Dutch Brothers, where the same drink costs just $7.45. The atmosphere was much better, the staff friendlier, and they didn't write notes or prices on punch cards. After Dutch Brothers closed down, I returned to S&J's for a few months, encountering the same manager occasionally. Each time, she was still rude, though there were no pricing issues. However, today when I went in, she wrote the price on my punch card again, treating me like a child. It's clear to me that she has a control issue, and frankly, she should be let go. If I behaved like that with my customers, I would hope someone would point it out to me. There's simply no reason to write prices on a customer’s punch card. Communication with her staff about the prices for regular customers would have been more appropriate. It shouldn't be my responsibility that they can't ring up the same drink consistently. Why should I feel like I’ve done something wrong just to order a coffee? So, it looks like I'll be heading back to Dutch Brothers now that they're open again. I genuinely enjoy the coffee at S&J's, but the way I’m treated is not worth it. The other staff are fantastic, and if it weren't for that manager—whose name I can't even remember—I’d still gladly pay the extra $3 for their coffee. She always manages to ruin my day with her rudeness. One more thing to note: I don’t always order the same drink, so writing a price on my card feels completely unfair.
This place is fantastic! It's my top pick for coffee.
This morning, my husband went to S&Js to get us coffee. Usually, they're quick to serve, but today there was no line except for one customer who was chatting with the staff. My husband waited for 10 minutes and became so frustrated that he left. He was upset and decided that S&Js has lost our business and we won't be returning. The way the staff handled the situation showed poor customer service; the employee saw my husband waiting but didn’t acknowledge him or apologize. The manager really needs to address this issue because if they don't, they risk losing more customers.
This is my favorite espresso stand! I've been a regular here for years, and the staff is always so friendly. The espresso is amazing, and they whip up the best drinks. Kaylene is just the sweetest!
I recently visited this restaurant, and it was fantastic! I ordered a drink from the Valentine's menu that one of the staff recommended, and I loved it so much that I returned twice more. On my subsequent visits, the same staff member recognized me right away and even gave me a punch card. The coffee is excellent, and the burritos are delicious too! This will definitely become my new favorite coffee spot.
