I loved going to dinner and seeing a really older couple who have been enjoying a meal like they for decades in this restaurant. And the menu really changed, old favorites deleted. New owners always think they know better, can never leave good enough alone.
Adorable retro style! Too bad they don't have Grips, but they said they're coming with a new menu soon. The waffle we had was so, but the Omelet was good, even the avocado upstairs was perfect. Friendly service that is always appreciated
7 of us went there because we liked to try different places and not of us were there earlier. We had a great time to visit each other. There were many people there so we knew it would be longer than normal to get our food. We didn't know 45 minutes had passed, but we talked. 20 minutes. We were so hungry. We saw the server here and there, but it just took too long. After 1 and 1/2 hours she comes and tells us that they cannot find our order and if we wanted to order again. We were so upset and said no. We're not going back there. You should have given us a free dinner for another day. Very disappointed. I don't give him any stars because they lose our order. The food looked delicious. It was too bad we didn't eat anything.
Food and service were great! I spoke to the owner, told him it was our first time. Give me a piece of apple cake to try on the house. Pie was great! We will definitely come back! I have the DESIGN/FURNITURE ETC of this saturation, ITS like a TIME CAPSULE!
Good, all American, diner food. Have eaten here a couple of times now and both times did NOT disappoint! First time, had French toast plate and it was tasty and filling. Second visit, I had a B.L.T. sandwich. The bread was toasted perfectly and the French fries were fresh, hot and of a very, generous portion. I really do like taking a trip back to the late 1960's, early 1970's, by dining in at Latif's. Their original, dated, decore is simple, but perfect since I find myself longing more and more for how things were as to how things are nowadays. I miss the simplicity of an eating establishment that doesn't try gimmicks or more, modern food choices. Latif's is one of a kind. If you want some simple, good, diner food, this is a great place to get it!
