This is a fantastic spot for a meal on a budget. It's the best breakfast place in Tuolumne County, featuring a talented chef and a host with a wonderful sense of humor.

I'm so sorry that some reviews are so bad. my man and I had breakfast this morning with our two rescued dogs. our experience was so wonderful and enjoyed our eating enormously. it is a small caffe with enough choice. I had the most amazing chilled beet with apfelsuppe. The old man who owned us the place with his wife liz was polite and charming. a small quality goes far! we come back.

Today was the last today they will be open. For years, the cottage has held the line for excellent breakfast. We will miss you dearly, and hope we have some new restaurants coming to uphold this tradition of brilliant food.
