There were also some other tables that were finished, so the place was busy. They were short on potatoes and Francis, the owner had sent her husband to get some. In the meantime, she kept us entertaining... it was like a person show at a dinner theater. Waiting was worth it. Food was great, but we were laughing. It was a good way to pass a few hours on a rainy afternoon. Thank you. Francis for the great show and meal!
After a recommendation from a local we visited this restaurant on the street from the post office. We were looking for a very late lunch/very early dinner and we were greeted with an enthusiastic welcome. As the only diners in such a... meanwhile we had the opportunity to chat with the owner / cook during our visit. It was more a visit from friends than a restaurant experience and the food was delicious. Hubs had the slightly broken fresh cod and chips and I chose the hot turkey sandwich. Plenty of portions and an overall excellent experience. Homemade meals, no ruffles and cheap, cooked to order when you order! Rareness nowadays. Go to Frances and she will fix you a fantastic feed.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant and the fish and chips were delicious! It felt like dining in a cozy kitchen with friends. I would have loved to sit on the terrace if the weather had been nicer.
Eat a good try. But go to the locals. And to experience the restrictions on the operation of a restaurant in such an isolated place
Would highly recommend this establishment as a place to eat on Change Islands. the pan fried and deep fried Cod is the best
