We love their Macarons, Croissants, Tarts, Cookies and Muffins! I'm sad to say, but we haven't tried the cheesecake yet. The picture is of a chocolate cake and fresh fruitcake. If you are looking for a unique treat, this is the place to begin!
I haven't been here for months and decided to give him another shot while I was back in town. The quality of the food was good and the warm fire was a beautiful treat. However, the attitude of the young man working on the front counter was very bad. His voice sounded sarcastically cheerful and above all, his body language was unhappy aggressive. He knocked down any of our food on the glass counter. After I paid and tipped him, I returned to the counter and asked him very politely if I had water cups. Without a word he stood on the packaging of the candy he worked on, and again, it felt necessary to slam the desired object before me. He sat back immediately and returned to what he did without looking up. I have not warned in any way the bad behavior and customer service I have received. Especially for holidays I try my best to use polite language and tones because I know how difficult customer service jobs around this time can be people so rude and it is easy to feel overworked. I felt that my existence was a great inconvenience for this young man and felt very unwilling. I understand that he was the only employee in the front and that can be a stressful feeling, but we were there quite early and the only customers present at the time. Body language is all, and what I saw this morning was not acceptable. I definitely have the meaning that the guy hates people and doesn't like his job. As a woman to see a man repeatedly slam things to violently right in front of me makes me feel very uncomfortable. I'm disappointed because I wanted to give La Madeleine another chance, but I'll never be back.
Pays $70 for two orders of crepes, a small quiche, 3 teas and a meal with soup. Portions are small for the price. The workers seemed unhappy/not to be there. I wanted to buy a tomato sauce jar, but I looked at the label: "includes bioengineered food ingredient. "Ham in the quiche was gray and inconspicuous. Soup was good. The place was clean. No great atmosphere. Don't go back.
Not sure what I expected, but these expectations were exceeded! The staff was very nice and accommodating. Sitting in a cool morning through the fire was great! The food was perfectly prepared and tasty...we will be back!
Great menu and atmosphere, serve breakfast all day, lots of sandwiches, pastas, and Pasteur items! They also have crepes! Lots of seating, both indoors and outdoors. I would recommend getting the full sandwich and never the half, it’s $1 more and definitely worth it.
