Zest Ubud

The first time I visited this restaurant it was a busy afternoon, they did not have many of the items we wanted to try, as they ran out of ingredients. What I did have was tasty that day- the small smashed crispy potatoes, the moringa leaf braised in coconut water, the spinach mushroom and garlic, the sweet potato wedges with a dipping sauce and the taro chips with dipping sauce, and a pizza. The second time I was there, ordered some of the same things but the food was lacking flavour, the service was terrible, they ran out of ingredients again. Probably one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Sat to Bali for three weeks and ended up zest 2-3 times. The photo is AMAZING. I also tried one of the vegan sushi, the mushroom pizza, the poutine, one of the veggie burgers, and a few other items (went with a group) and every single item on the menu was really good. Good prices and great food and drinks. The menu did not need replacements.

Big and nice restaurant with lots of seats. We had to take off your shoes before going to the restaurant. Great little platters to share, we enjoyed most of them. It's something on the pricier side. Updated from the previous review on 2021-10-25

Nothing special! Zest is nothing to write home about. It’s just so ‘so-o’ average vegan food, for a price.
