It's been months when I had a breakfast over here at their rooftop. The breakfast options were good though the scrambled eggs were blend. Paranthas were tasty. We were the only 1 on the rooftop, so really can't judge the service level at this place. Give it a try guys. It won't disappoint.
This restaurant was the worst experience of my trip to Udaipur. There was only one cook and one waiter handing the whole restaurant. On top, they allowed some customers who got outside homemade food in tiffins and dabbas in the restaurant which is insane. Add to that, we ordered one curry and a couple of naans and they couldn't serve that within ONE HOUR. Insanity! I would definitely advice everybody else to avoid this restaurant as it sucks to the core.
We were on our first trip post marriage to Udaipur. So our first lunch in Udaipur had to be special. So we were looking for a good rooftop restaurant that would provide us with a great view of Lake Pichola. And Jaiwana Haveli rooftop restaurant was perfect for us. The restaurant is located in Chandpole close the Baghron ki Haveli and also pretty close to City Palace. The roads leading to the restaurant are narrow but it wont be any problem if you are walking. We reached the place slightly late in the afternoon. So the restaurant was pretty empty. We had just one another couple in the restaurant. The most difficult part to access this place was climbing four flights of stairs which in the current way of life was difficult but nothing to complain there. Once we reached the place, we were pretty hungry so we decided to skip the starters and directly order main course. Since we were in Mewar there was no doubt that we had to order local delicacies for lunch. So we ordered Gatte ki Sabji and Kadhi Pakoda along with Roti and Masala Papad. The only not so good part was the Masala Papad because its toppings were too big and wasnt that great. Else the meal was amazing. The Gatte ki sabji was very god and the Kadhi was spicy to the right level and the Pakodas were cooked perfectly. They weren't to soggy and were really good with the Kadhi. The service was also pretty good and punctual. We were also provided with some complementary starters while the main course was getting ready. To complement the food, the view from the rooftop of Lake Pichola was amazing. We were here for lunch but can assure you that couples can indeed have a very amazing romantic evening dinner at this place. Definitely worth a visit.
