We stopped at this place because the restaurant we had reserved through The Fork was shuttered and closed. What to do? We wandered down the street and stopped here, since it was open and seemed to have a decent menu. What a good decision!! The service was pleasant and helpful, the menu interesting and reasonably priced, and the portions of very tasty food more than generous. It’s not a fancy place, but one can certainly get a very good meal for a very affordable price. Good advice on local wines, too. Definitely worth a visit.
Really nice place downtown Udine. If you want to eat simple but supergood that's the place. It's a good bet for anything, a quick break or lunch or whatever!!! It is really cool!
I found the food really delicious, I had a fabulous homemade truffle tagliolini and very tasty braised meat, followed by fantastic tiramisu, coffee and traditional grappa Storica from Friuli. I was very impressed by the wine selection and most of all by the value for money of certain local wines in particular the Bjana from Brda/Collio region . The staff seemed to be very knowledgable about wines and made good recommendations. The place is cosy too and the location is perfect for dinner after a walk in the surrounding town center. The prices are excellent given the quality of the food and the staff is very kind, friendly and funny. Next time I will book a table, the place was really full!
