We had already extensively run the city centre area at sporadic Nieselregen and saw several restaurants with lunch offers on the waterfront. When the rain became stronger, we decided to use one of these lunches. Finally, the program of the “Mykonos” convinced us of the extended lunch table offers. Due to the weather that is significantly cool for the season, we left a place on the covered terrace and went into the restaurant. There were only four tables inside. The staff was probably otherwise employed, so a welcome or even a table assignment did not take place. We therefore looked for a free table and took place there. Now it took only a few moments until a waiter registered us, kindly greeted us and the menus were enough. The day offers (as we stated a week later, the standard lunch dishes were added on a leaflet. Finally, we both stayed at the offer that had tempted us to enter the restaurant. When the waiter came back to our table after some time, we ordered the menu 3 “Gyros with Kalamari, with Tzatziki, Rice and Pommes” (7,90 €). The waiter thanked and disappeared towards the kitchen, but then came back after a short time and served the drinks. Again a few minutes later he appeared again and brought the salads. They consisted of iceberg salad, coarsely sprinkled carrots and white wort, garnished with a cucumber disc and a tomato. Then there was a Klacks dressing that I could not identify, but that came from the big bucket with a risk of limited probability. We took up the fight with the salad, but ultimately we had no chance, because the waiter brought the plates with the main dishes before we finished it. The blue plates were not badly stocked for lunch. There was a piece of a squid tube on a crocodile giro, along with a complete miniature specimen from the genus Oktopus. A neat portion of fries, a plum Tzatziki and a hemisphere of tomato rice completed the arrangement which was still crowned by some rings of red onions. Everything was fresh and hot, the French fries crispy, the Gyros very well seasoned. The squid pieces, which can become rubber so quickly, were tender and cooked on the point. The Tzatziki and the tomato rice also gave no cause for complaints. Only the ambience would stop us from a further visit. On the one hand, in the background of the guest room there was a showcase in which wine bottles were stored. This alone is not a reason for criticism, but must the LED strips be illuminated with changing colors? Secondly, the state of the guest room was already somewhat worn out, the image of the completely scraped bank speaks volumes. For a quick lunch table, this restaurant is acceptable, but for a nice dinner there is something missing.
