Oh, yes, something that surprised me about eating in Mongolia was how good they cook western cuisine. I prefer to try the local delicacies, but my city wife brought me to many of her favorite restaurants. they were randomly a lot of western cuisine. that said chōjin temple restaurant is a must! eating here was better than anything I ever expected. this was also the first restaurant where the service was exceptional. service is not necessarily a standard in restaurants in ulaanbaatar, but this is just the culture and my colonialist expectations on service. it was nice to have this extra piece on the top of the delicious foods to make the experience 5 stars though. the organic immune boost tee was fresh and soothing with a light tart aftertaste due to the sea buckthorn. I had the chōjin special steak, who came with a side of creamy knochenmark! what a side! the standard vagodies and maische also came with that the dish was quite large. the steak was done as I asked, medium rare, which is impressive in view of the thin of the steak. a great court with a beautiful presentation. my wife had the marrow risotto, which had a delicate song as garnsih! also the amount of Parmesan cheese in it made it extra creamy and stingy in the taste. it was so much, but it worked very well. the crème brûlée was tasty, but the cream was not as smooth as it could be. that said if it had been from the regular thick cream that I had earlier, I don't think we would have been able to finish. the portions were incredible. I suggest to eat here after visiting chōjin temple next door.
They never leave the expectation. thanks to the chef
Had dinner in the Golden Buddha branch. The beet and orange salad was great. Mongyu Steak was super soft and tasty as well as the seafood Paella.
Guys. this place is amazing. creme pasta was beyond my expectation. for the steak, i ordered bluecheese steak( which was not listed on the menu but thet serve you better let them know whether you wanted it medium or rare. if you dont mention it, you will just get the steak with well done and it is hard to chew ! BUT taste was so good. worth to try. make sure that price is quite expensive than the other restaurants in mongolia. i went there twice and there was no seat as i didnt make a reservation in advance. if you dont want to waste any minute, make reservation first : manager is so good at Eng.
