Zochin Mongol Zoog-4 - Ulaanbaatar

An absolutely incredible authentic Mongolian restaurant in the heart of downtown Ulaanbaatar. Located just half a block south of the State Department Store on the left hand side of the park, this restaurant serves some of the most delicious, hearty Mongolian food I had there. It was so good that I went back twice during the week I visited and brought more peo ol e with me each time!! Definitely NOT an establishment with fluent English-speaking staff, so just come with patience and a willingness to point and gesture and smile in order to order (and get your check at the end of the meal . The food will absolutely worth it! The portion sizes are relatively huge, so dont order too much ; I had the mutton buuz (traditional Mongolian dumplings and the plate of mutton served basically fajita-style with incredibly delicious mashed potatoes. And while you 're waiting for your meal, they 've got a set of sheep bones at each table to play a very traditional Mongolian game (basically Mongol magic eight ball .

The interior is so nice. And the taste of food is good and price is affordable. Highly recommend for foreigners who want to try Mongolian dishes.
