This restaurant was recommended to me by a colleague, and when my child visited me in ulm, I wanted to surprise it. this evening meal should be a pleasure for both of us. I had actually hoped to use this dinner as an example for the rare and difficult to grasp good German kitchen. After we asked the waitress (owner?) to decipher the handwritten menu for us, and after we had asked several times which dishes would be gluten-free, we ordered a portion of Japanese meat-rouladen (smooth) with patch filling (we shared this portion,) a bottle of water, a limonade for each of us and bury them to dessert. that cost us 50.5 euro. see the photo of the acknowledgement for details. 23,50 for the humble main dish is at least a sign for the healthy self-esteem of the restaurant, although bordering on delusions mascarpone and a few isolated drops of chocolate syrup is ridiculous. but we were on the look for a tasty bite again. So let it be expensive as long as it is good with a big G!Leider the tasty was stolen as a punishment and let us miss the evening. Complete arrest: I have zöliakie and my child is at least very sensitive. we rely on allergy warnings and so far we are well suited to most normal (= not only celiac drinks) restaurants. I am aware that “Gluten” or, more precisely, “Gluten-free” has become the newest modest appearance of this world. of ten customers who require gluten-free eating, maybe two really need it. this is annoying and time-consuming and generally unpleasant. however, the restaurant owner does not untie from courtesy and responsibility when it comes to allergy warnings. Unfortunately, we really depend on the information we provide. if they take this on the light shoulders and don't take it seriously, they could kill one of their brighter one day. 2 out of 10 suddenly become a macabre bliss game, right? So, long talk short senses: half an hour after the main course my child suddenly and very painfully got stomach cramps. my own incubation was a bit upset, but at least not dramatic. while I paid the bill, I asked once again whether there might have been something under the circumstances. the answer was a clear no, followed by a list of all ingredients used to make the meat routines. uuu and probably worse was among them: commercial soy sauce. she even looked at the bottle right in front of me and confirmed that there were no allergens in it, and I had to actually point them to the fat and great weeping that was printed on the bottle so that she understood it (that I am not, however, sure about the part that concerns me. they seemed quite unimpressed, and there were no excuses offered.) although I know that there is always a certain risk if one eats elsewhere than home (crust contamination, etc.) this catastrophe could probably have occurred and what about eating, apart from that I bring my child to cry, ask her? well, it was nice. presentation - something is missing. size: rather small for a main dish. Waiting period: laaaaang. what I can understand in terms of the rouladen, but what in gordon ramsays names has taken so long to give strawberries in two bowls and give mascarpone on it? curious people want to know. they were gently swept by feen (which would explain the price?) all in all: decent, though uninspired eating at an unjustified price, for people with a sturdy or adventurous. only a lavender branch was missing on the Euro-Asian Fusion Court. that would have completed the cliché. only cash or “EC card”. EC card = German bank card. because why should I be able to use my Austrian Maestro card or my German Visa card or my British mastercard - all around the globus do their service, but not in ulm.
I got a voucher that my friend and I redeemed yesterday. the location of the restaurant is beautiful. outside and inside look cozy and special. the appetizers were a dream! also the main course tasted delicious. the wein was excellent and the chefin/service was very nice and accommodating. for a special evening gladly again.
A good restaurant, which is mainly due to its simplicity.Small map with persistent and changing orientations. mostly 5 appetizers and as many main courses. vegetarian, fish, Swabian and Thai dishes can be found. the dining room also simply but thereby cozy. the character of the historic guest house has remained. The chefin makes the service itself. completely inexorable and attentive. for us the place is free. you sit directly on the headstone paved local road, but is not disturbed by the very few cars. for me the outside area has the charm I always hope for in italia and usually does not find there. a clear recommendation with the excitement to reserve a table.
Go out in the evening and eat a petty or a gruesome. for this is the right place.
Yes secrettip, yes the somewhat high prices are justified for the offered eating, but unfortunately in matters of service mentality the last few years nothing has changed. the time seems to be standing in the early 2000s...Why are there reviews that are miserable (such as loudness, waiting times, missing smiles of the service/cheffin) but still "very good" assesses me quite honestly? in reviews, the entireinruck not only counts the eating alone! O.g. miscellaneous are not to discuss away (but if necessary changeable,?) my swirl roast (legendary court in this restaurant) was however unthinkable (growing, fat and hard place) which leads to depreciation. to my complaint, came only as usual in Germany "I give it on" but did not meet any (e.g. coffee on’s house) .I had previously complained of the lack of alternative to cash payment, but until the digitalization arrives on the cross, should still go (light) years to the country.
