Granted I have only been here once so far, and it was for tea, but I found the ambience and staff here really lovely. The prices are great- very reasonable especially considering it's a university. I got my T2 Sencha tea in a lovely Japanese cast iron teapot. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Next time I'll have to get something to eat!

This is a very good cafe/bar with a pleasant ambience located in a hidden laneway that runs parallel to Broadway and between a couple of UTS buildings. I have only been here at lunchtime, when they put on some excellent-value $10 lunch specials, which vary according to the day of the week - from Chicken schnitzel and chips on Mondays to pizza on Fridays. Tuesday is burger day - and these are exceptional. Packed full of flavour and fresh ingredients, as well as chips (and even mayo coming with the chips). You don't leave hungry - and it does not break the bank. The coffee is excellent, too.

Penny Lane has an excellent location, very close to popular places. The burger and potatoes were really great, and its staff are very friendly. I would like to come back in a future visit to Sydney

Great location, great prices and specials. This place does a killer haloumi burger and their sweet potato fries and perfect. I love coming here after uni, for chill vibes and a meal that really hits the spot.
