Feedback gevenThe food was average at best; I could have had better Orange Chicken from Panda Express! The three baby bok choy on my plate were cold. The meals of my dining companions were just as disappointing. It was so noisy that having a conversation was impossible! To top it off, the prices were too high for the quality offered. I won't be coming back, and I certainly can't recommend it to anyone else. It was a disappointing experience. Service: Dine in.
Absolutely terrible. The food is just not good at all. You end up feeling frustrated with yourself for spending so much money.
The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was welcoming, but that’s where the positives end. The menu was very limited and rather basic—slightly better than what you’d find in a food court, but far from what any decent local restaurant offers. The quality of the food was merely average. I struggle to reconcile our experience with some of the other reviews here, but that’s the only meal I can base my judgment on. For the price, I would suggest looking for dining options elsewhere. We had a reservation for 8:30 PM with a 15-minute grace period. Upon arriving at Mohegan, we encountered issues with the room card kiosk, which failed to provide us with keys after we checked in. This forced my husband and me to wait in a very long line. To make matters worse, we decided to drop off our bags so we could make it to our reservation on time. When we arrived at Tao, the host asked if we had a reservation. I confirmed that we did, for 8:30 PM under our name. To my surprise, she then informed us that they were no longer seating in the dining area and suggested we sit in the bar instead. I was puzzled as to why we were being directed to the bar with a reservation in hand. When I inquired further, she explained that we had exceeded the grace period and could only enjoy our meal in the bar since the kitchen would close in 10 minutes. She mentioned that we could order the same food from the bar, even though the kitchen was closing soon—this made no sense. I pointed out that our late arrival was due to the check-in issues at the hotel. I also noted that we had received a text asking if we were coming, to which we replied affirmatively. In reality, we were just 2 minutes past the grace period, and we understood we were late, but it was due to circumstances beyond our control. This experience exemplified poor customer service at its worst. The young woman with slicked-back blonde hair handled the situation poorly, showing an unpleasant attitude. Given Tao's reputation, I am extremely disappointed in how we were treated as customers. It might be worthwhile for the management to consider hiring staff that prioritize quality customer service.

We were only 2 minutes past the grace period, and we understood we were late, but it was due to circumstances beyond our control. This level of customer service is extremely disappointing. The young woman with the slicked-back blonde hair had an attitude and could have handled the situation far better. With Tao's reputation, I expected much more respectful treatment of customers. It may be in your best interest to consider hiring staff that provide a higher quality of service.
