Island Jerk Hut

Sorry in advance for the long post! I had a wonderful experience at Island Jerk Hut!! Such a beautiful establishment with a wide open dinning area. It was super clean. The service was fast and quite personable. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. I ordered 2 large jerk chicken meals, one dark and one white. I got cabbage, mac/cheese and rice/peas with the meals. I also got two meat sides, one dark and one white. This was my first time dinning with them and I got the food to go. When my order came up the lovely young man opened the container and showed me the food and I was impressed! The portion sizes were not skimpy at all. Everything looked delicious and the presentation was on point. That was all before tasting anything. The food was amazing!! The meat was super flavorful, a bit sweet and a bit spicy. The dark meat was so juicy and honestly I was impressed by the white meat as well, as breast tend to be on the drier side, NOT OVER HERE! The cabbage was delicious and not overcooked. The mac was great as well. The rice and peas were a great base. And it didn't feel like all rice, no meat. I honestly did not need the sides of meat, however later me will be very pleased that there are leftovers. Everything paired together PERFECTLY. All of that to say that Rich and the crew at Island Jerk Hut will continue to get my money. I can't wait to try the other menu options, as I'm sure they won't disappoint l. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Side note I was too full to try the beef patty. And as soon as I figure how to add pictures I absolutely will!

Ordered Jerk Chicken (dark meat) with cabbage and sweet potato. This was the first time I ordered the sweet potato. Everything was excellent, excellent, excellent! Going back next week for a repeat.

This was my first time here. I ordered the jerk chicken dark meat with Mac n cheese and steamed cabbage. Everything was very tasty and portions were nice size. My wait was about eight minutes, very clean. I will definitely go back. Parking: The lot offer many spaces for dining in or taking out.

Nothing to say. The food speakers for itself. If you want authentic jerk, curry, or brown stew, peas n rice or Mac n cheese that’ll make you want to smack somebody, this is the spot for you. Just wow!

Dayum I love this spot. Every single bite of everything I’ve tried there has been amazing. Everything tastes so fresh and you can see it in their food that they care a lot about what they serve. The portions always generous. This is my new go to spot. Keep up the good work
