However, it's important to note that the front section has more of a bar vibe with loud classic Spanish music playing. The back part of the establishment is a bit worn, with a drop ceiling that's in poor condition. Despite these drawbacks, the food is outstanding, and I'll definitely keep coming back, though it's good to manage your expectations.
I ordered a lunch to go, which included seco de carne, lentil soup, and potato salad with cheese. The meat was tough, and the sauce tasted more like ketchup. There was no beer in the seco, and the potato salad was bland and watery. I ended up eating it because I was hungry.
The service was excellent, especially from the lovely Carolina.
Caldo de bola was really bad. The plantain balls were still raw. Casuela also tasted like it wasnt cooked completely. Its supposed to be baked but instead it looks like the cook used a torch on top to give it the char. Seems like he was trying to take shortcuts that didnt work. Staff claimed that the food was still good. The place is nice for some snacks and drinks but they need to work on their food. Especially plates from la costa. In the meantime i wouldnt recommend for food
Ate here many times. Best seviche in the area and same owners. Prices are great and portions are very generous.
