First time I've seen it and it's got me hooked!Tang's Haus serves some delicious Korean dishes that make you feel right at home. With the comfort of piping hot soup and rice, it'll warm up your winter days and evenings. Aside from soups, you'll have options of pancakes, rice bowls, and glass noodles. EVERYTHING comes out hot and fresh! The service was great and they offered to refill our fish cakes and veggies after they were gobbled up. Water and tea were refilled without flagging anyone down. They were on top of it!Now the food:Bulgogi very flavorful! Served with glass noodles, this will be enough to fill you up. Pair it with some rice and kimchi...chef's kiss! Galbi the soup is very refreshing and if you're into sucking on bone for flavor, this is for you. The meat was tender and plentiful. Again, pair it with rice and your stomach will be warm and content.Seafood pancake must get for every meal! Very shareable and the texture will have you chomping away. The crisp from the edges, the bounce with each bite, and the little seafood treasures will make this appetizer a fun eating experience. It's bigger than most places and packed with more ingredients than most.Japchae glass noodles packed with flavor and hot and ready for slurping. This is for us also a must have since we are big fans of noodles. Goes well with everything in the table!Stone rice bibimbap delicious! I usually prefer crispier rice but the ingredients made up for it. Juicy mushrooms and seaweed added just the right umami flavors to round out our meal.Overall, the price is a bit higher than most places but the quality is worth it. The portions are good too (every dish seems to be shareable for at least two people we got a bunch of dishes and shared along five and still had leftovers). It's a small place but it's also located in a tiny mall that few people frequent. If you're looking to dine in for dinner, get there early (before 7 pm). Otherwise get take out (they were voted best take out place in Union City recently). Afterwards, the boba place next door is a nice dessert! The the variety of dishes will bring me back and the fresh kimchi will keep me there. Perhaps make Tang's Haus your house for your next meal!
First time.Casual ambiance.Limited menu options.Staff is friendly and attentive. We selected 2 dishes, the Ttukbaegi Bulgogi and Combination Sundubu. Both dishes were flavorful and filling.Banchan was terrific. Nice spot for a solid and satisfying meal.
Came back for the new menu items. Seafood pancakes are great. Very crispy and flavorful throughout. It's nice that seafood is evenly spread rather than having large chunks. Sauce is nice as an extra dimension.Tofu Soup is solid. A nice umami taste that shines or with rice. The individual ingredients also stand out, so nothing is too overbearing. Could be spicier for me, but that's personal preference.
We were craving something hearty but healthy so decided to check out this Korean soup house. Overall, good food but perhaps overpriced.Rating Breakdown:1.5/2 Stars for Taste Soup is the name of the game here. My husband ordered the dogani tang (ox knee) while I ordered the galbi tang. The dogani tang broth was rich and you could salt it to taste. It came with a generous helping of tender cartilage/tendon that you could dip in seasoned soy sauce. The galbi tang was very aromatic and I was a huge fan of the date flavor, but my husband not so much because he doesn 't like medicinal soups. The thick cuts of short rib were cooked to fall of the bone perfection. The minus 0.5 stars is for the weak banchan game the fish cake and spinach sides were underwhelming. My Korean husband was also not impressed with the kimchi which he says should be amazing at any soup house worth their salt.0.5/1 Stars for Value We paid $60 with tax and tip for 2 people which seemed steep for what we got. Each dish just seemed about $3 5 overpriced, but maybe that 's the mom and pop shop tax.1/1 Stars for Customer Service The waitress was very friendly and the food came out fast. She also very happily refilled our banchan upon request. No bonus star because I probably wouldn 't go out of my way to come back.
I had no idea Union City had such a great authentic Korean restaurant. My friend took a few of us for a Saturday night dinner last month and he had called just an hour or so before we were set to arrive. Although the restaurant is on the small side, we were able to secure a table. Our group likes to eat and we nearly ordered half the menu to share family style. For me, I liked the Japchae(stir fried glass noodles) and especially the Galbi Jjim(Pork Rib). They also serve you fresh home made Kimchi which is among the top Kimchi I've ever had at a Korean restaurant. Our waitress was very sweet and service was amazing. If you do come here, I suggest you come here with at least a party of 4 so you can enjoy and share as much of the menu as possible.
