Cafe Le Raj - Upminster

Guess it was a victim of the pandemic,but in any case Cafe Le Raj is permanently closed. Plenty more Injuns in Upminster but this was definitely one of ,if not the, favourite.

During lockdown, we decided to order takeout as a way to have a "night out" at home. We laid the table, opened some Cobras and wine, and enjoyed a delicious meal of lamb madras, King Prawn Pathia, onion bhaji, mutter paneer, and sag. The food was excellent and we were grateful for the opportunity to support the restaurant during this difficult time. I recommend supporting your local restaurants if you are able to. It will lift your spirits and help those who are struggling.

We have been loyal customers of Cafe Raj for several years and have always been impressed by the friendly and welcoming staff. Our recent visit on Friday, the 14th, was no exception. We made sure to book our table in advance and were delighted with the delicious dishes, sides, and naan bread. I highly recommend this pleasant Indian restaurant. The food is delicious, with a good variety of traditional Indian dishes and drinks available. It's a great choice for a meal out.

Been going to restaurant since it opened, no longer live in the area, was visiting for the weekend. Decided to pay a visit . Food and service 1st class as always . Something’s never change.
