It was great to stop in on March 29 while I was in the area. Very helpful friendly staff. Very clean and conscious of the pandemic. Still a great supply of fresh and pantry items. Only thing I didn't find (Sunday afternoon for goodness sakes) was regular sugar. No biggie. I got some fancy caster sugar. Who knows what we'll create with this!!
This is the only WF I've encountered that has this crazy yummy gruyere croissant. I'm guessing no actual French person would grant this the salutation of croissant, but it is so delish. I live in Shadyside so not near this wonder, but would like to make friends with anybody that transports my way occasionally for a croissant exchange program :
The review is primarily based around the cafe/pub area. Any stars for this are for the quality of the food (sushi and buffalo cauliflower are excellent, good beer selection). The customer service is abysmal at the cafe. In the three times I've gone here I've received the same pretentious, unfriendly and terse responses from the staff that works on the weekend. It's a bummer. I think I'll probably go to the downtown or North Hills branches, but it kind of turns me off the whole brand.
This store is so disappointing. I didn't even want to give it one star. Bought a 5 lb Chuck roast from the butcher and after cooking it I realize it's mostly all fat. And the sale price was 3.99 a lb. Bought flavored wings and had to add my own flavoring to them. They were small and had a taste I didn't like. Bought a choc. Cake and it wasn't fresh at all. Their brand of bread is awful. So steal and breaks apart. Never again for this store. This is the most overpriced store to by groceries in. What a waste of 110.00 dollars that one could spend for food.
