How they manage to keep this up and cook is very impressive. They will...talk you through the menu and advise wines that will best suit your food. The food is fantastically prepared and presented, and it tastes pretty damn good as well! Don't be put off that it is just off a busy road, A and F have ceated a lovely terrace with fountain set in a garden that provides an excellent setting for an excellent meal. We've been here for a fortnight and have eaten there times, we'll definitely be coming back next year.
A wonderful welcome is ensured from the owners. The food was amazingly cooked and presented. Help was given to us with the menu as our French is not too good. A beautiful restaurant which we will be going back to, again and again.
Fantastic experience right from the first arrival. We were greeted with a big broad smile and lots of enthusiasm. The food was delicious and typically french. The service was second to none and the decor was beautiful. All in all a first class experience.
This country inn style restaurant has a simple decor and good food. We were greeted with a marvelous olive tapenade for an amuse-bouche. Our entrée was a very good, and unusual, shrimp and artichoke hearts with an orange sauce. Our main course was a lamb...chop with carrots, broccoli, and sweet potato purée. A decadent molten dark chocolate cake finished off the meal. A delicious soft Malbec, recommended by the co-owner, was perfect with all three courses. The service was excellent. Note: Google Maps placed this restaurant significantly off of the highway when it is actually right on the highway.
When they visit or visit the lot, do not miss the opportunity in and experience this restaurant, it is quite simply wonderful. from the outside, this former small hotel is an impressive, typical Quercynoise building, simply but sympatheticly renovated with one. However, if it is transported to the newly built terrace behind the renovated hotel, they are transported to another domain. it could be new york, london (without the climate) la, les jardins majorelle von ysl. the architectural, Mediterranean gardens are stunning to a beautiful pool with views of the causses du quercy on one side and limited by sunken water gardens on the other and leads down to another lower terrace and bar. the covered terrace, beautifully built completely in wood is contemporary, light and airy. it is best craftsmanship work and then to service and eat. if the venue impresses, the quality of greeting, service and eating can only be said to surpass the environment. we were greeted by one of the owners and sitting on a beautiful table. it is important to also emphasize that the terrace is fully accessible for wheelchair users. our host told us that his colleague christine would be short with us to take care of us for the evening. how important it is to introduce employees with names, it immediately forms a personal relationship. christine was absolutely professional, knew both the drinks as well as the menus inside and was so charming and hospitable that it was impossible to feel that a customer relationship was immediately formed. christines coworker was also excellent, but unfortunately we missed her name. the a la carte menu is extensive and diverse, each dish sounds just fabulous. the menu is also excellent. a selection of traditional Quercynoise dresses that want to experience something different from the traditional cuisine in this region with fusion and contemporary cooking. every dish we ordered was beautifully presented, was delicate and tasty and with a fineness of aromen. the origin of ingredients and suppliers is included in the menu and proves the philosophy of owners to produce locally, develop short-circuit supply chains and use the freshest local products. now I know I sounded gushy, but try it, it's amazing
